Tiger Woods needs how many more wins to eclipse Arnold Palmer’s records
For the past few years, Tiger Woods has not been at the top of his game. For instance, he has been dealing with some major personal issues. Besides that, he has also been dealing with recovery from a major knee injury.
Despite all the problems he has faced in the recent past, Woods is still confident about his abilities. For instance, he is set to go after the record set by Jack Nicklaus. With such a win it would help him to eclipse some of greatest legends of golf such as Arnold Palmer.
At one time, it seemed like Woods would easily breeze through the Jack Nicklaus record of 18 major titles. Besides that, it seemed like he was set to break the record of most major wins. The record still stands at 82. It was set by Sam Snead.
One issue that has been a matter of discussion is his age. However, Woods does not see his age as being a hindrance. In fact, most other stars like Palmer have broken records well after they left their twenties. Woods prides himself on playing in a sport where longevity is a plus rather than a hindrance.
Woods still believes that if he plays well, he will break more records. As a result, he will have eclipsed other starts like Nicklaus and Palmer. One area on which Tiger Woods has been working on is his swing. He has already changed it twice in his career.

Woods needs at least four more wins to hit the record set by Nicklaus. After that, he will require one more to break the record. Were it not for personal issues and a slight injury to his knee; it seems Woods would have already broken the record.
Most people would have expected him to have given up on pursuing any more records. However, Woods has not given up on himself. Right now, Woods insists that he is in a great place mentally. He has moved on from his scandals. He says that he and his ex-wife are in a good place.
He admits that he has made serious mistakes in life and that he has learned from them. Woods has been pulled out of numerous tournaments in recent times. He claims that his game is not at the level it needs to be. However, he has made an effort to appear in a few low-profile games.
The last time Woods won a PGA Tour event was in 2013. The first record he aims to beat is that of Sam Snead of 82 titles. His record stands at 79. Woods know what it takes to prepare for a game and win it. He is also aware that there will come a time when he will no longer have the ability to do it. However, he feels that that time is still far away.
Woods notes that Nicklaus was 46 when he won his final major title. Thus, he feels that there is still a lot to offer in the game. Combined with the fact that technology has improved so much, it could help him clinch more titles if he is able to adapt to it fast enough.
Of importance to note is that none of the recent upcoming players could ever dash his hopes. Thus far, none of them has even come close to beating his record, let alone that of Nicklaus. Thus, Woods can rest easy knowing that he probably only has to compete against himself.
Besides Nicklaus, Woods noted that other golf players had lifted trophies well after they had surpassed the age of fifty. It might be a hint that he intends to place for at least two more records. In fact, he may end up being one of the oldest golf players to win a major title if he is determined to break the records.
Woods is a naturally gifted golfer. Combined with the fact that he puts in so much effort into his game, there is no reason why he should not win five more majors titles. However, even golf legends have expressed some doubt about his ability to win more titles.
Woods has said that the only reason he continues to play golf is that he still believes he can win. If he were not confident about his winning ability, he would never continue playing. Money is not an issue to him; he has enough of that by any standards.
Tiger Woods is quite reasonable. He would not wish to continue following a record if he thought it was unreachable. However, if he can regain hid in the coming year or so, he will definitely eclipse the likes of Palmer. It is something that he should already have done about five years ago.
One person who still has a lot of faith in Woods is Nicklaus. He believes that Woods has too much drive and focus not to beat his records and eclipse legends like Palmer.
