YEA Camp Animal Advocates

The Youth Empowered Action camp is a unique camp that imparts leadership qualities on kids. It aims to give kids the tools they need to change the world. It does this by building their confidence to speak up on issues that matter to them. They are also given other skills such as how to start a school club, effectively communicating with others, and how to hold fundraisers. 

At the end of the camp, which lasts a week, kids will create an action plan on how to make a difference on a course of their choosing back home. Some of the causes that children are taught to get involved in include animal rights. Kids are taught about how to rescue animals. 

Camp DeWolfe

Though there are yearlong retreats to all manner of places, Cam DeWolfe is most famous for its kids’ summer camp. Some of the activities in which kids can engage in are kayaking, swimming, and rock climbing. The camp is affiliated to Episcopal Christians, which means kids will have the opportunity to learn something about Christian values. The camp has sessions that are divided according to age groups. 

French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts Camp

At the camp, six activity sessions are designed to give campers an opportunity to pursue what they love. The first three periods are taken up by three concentrations that stay the same for the full three weeks. The other three sessions are taken up by minors, which are chosen by the kids in the morning. That way, kids have an opportunity to try something different and see if they excel at it. They can also choose to get in some waterfront activities such as swimming, clowning around at the circus act, or zip lining. 

ConstructionKids Camps

At the camp, kids will get the opportunity to use real working tools such as nails, hammers, and drills. Children gain the confidence they need to solve construction problems and gain new skills while building a project from scratch. Every week, kids build a new masterpiece. Young campers get to choose a session where they decorate and customize go-carts. Additionally, they will also get to construct a fully functioning skateboard.

Older kids are taught how to heighten precision skills by constructing a personalized erector set. The set is unlike anything that you will ever see in a store. The kids will learn about the science of acoustics and make a detailed pirate ship, complete with the ropes, barrels, and cannons. 

Curious Jane Camp

This camp is designed specifically for girls. The girls are taught how to dabble in science, toy-making, sewing, design, and engineering. It is a camp that was created by a mom who is an all-girls educator and industrial designer. At the camp, there are many weekly themes such as spy science, and DIY gadgets. 

MoMath Summer Camp

The camp is found at the only museum in America that is dedicated to math. The aim of this summer camp is to make numbers cool and fun for kids. At the camp, kids explore concepts such as prime numbers, geometry, rudimentary multiplication, and probability in a fun and unorthodox way that they would never use in class. 

The camp counselors come up with activities that are designed to help kids prepare for the grade level. Additionally, kids learn how to apply math in a way they would never do in a classroom setting. When the kids go back to school and one of their peers asks them how they will use algebra in life, your kid will have an answer ready for them. 

The Nature Place Day Camp

The camp is located on 200 acres of land. Additionally, it only takes in a few campers, which means there is ample space for the kids to play. Kids get dirty roaming around the farmland working in the fields, gardens, ponds, and swamp. Besides that, kids will get valuable skills such as harvesting crops and taking care of chicks. 

Other activities they engage in are noncompetitive sports, music, hiking, art projects, and hilarious storytelling. The kids will have numerous opportunities to help with the animals and the harvest. As a result, they may gain a deeper appreciation for where food comes from. 

Camp Zeke

At this camp, kids are taught about wellness. The main aim of this camp is to teach kids how to lead a healthy lifestyle that includes aspects of nutritious food and fitness. There are electives at the camp, which means the kids get to choose the activities they want. They range from soccer, dance, yoga, boating to running. For those who want to learn how to make food, they can join the culinary arts program. They will get to learn how to make tasty meals and participate in cooking competitions.
